Comal County Fair 2009

We went to the Comal County fair last weekend. It was Sophie's first time at a fair and had a blast riding the rides. She is such an adrenaline junkie. Caroline rode the Ferris Wheel with Daddy. Sophie got to ride the Carousel, Fishie ride and Piggy ride with her big sister. While on the Piggie ride she is pointing and yelling..."Ride Fishies". It was hot but we had fun. I, of course, was FINALLY able to get my yummy hand dipped corn dog. YUM.

Caroline's First Lost Tooth

Caroline lost her very first tooth (a bottom front one) on July 1st while having a sleepover with Sarah (Nanny.) We made her a very special tooth fairy bag to put her teeth in and the tooth fairy delivered $2.35. I thought that was a little much....but you can't argue with the tooth fairy. She has since lost one more bottom front tooth. The first has already grown back in and the second is well on it's way.

Caroline's 1st Dance Recital

OK, so I realize that I have neglected my blogging duties and I am going to attempt to catch up for the major things that happenend this summer. This post is for Caroline's very first Dance recital that was the weekend of June 5th/6th. She was in a Tap/Ballet combo class so she had 2 performing numbers. She did an awesome job. I thought she would get stage fright...but she loves dance and didn't get too scared up there.

Caroline's 5th Birthday Catching Up

OK..OK...I know that I am bad at blogging. Caroline's Birthday was actually May 12th and we had her party on May 9th. She had a Tinkerbell themed party and Here are a few pictures.
Many many kids from her school came and a few others. They played on the Skyfort, painted wands and ate pizza andTinkerbell cake.

Sky Fort

Ta DA!!!

Here it is. This was part of Caroline's Birthday (and Sophie to use.) I will publish birthday pictures later. It took Chuck 24 daylight hours to complete putting this together from the ground up. It is a kit from SAMS.
It is about 13 feet tall and 20something feet long. The fence is 6 feet if that gives you any perspective.
Man loves his kids!!!!!

Easter Pictures from April 2009

Here are a few pictures from Easter. The first ones were of our Egg Hunt in Bobbie's Backyard. The others are from our Annual Easter pictures in the Girard Backyard. I got some good ones of Caroline. You are seeing the best ones of Sophie.....she won't cooperate and sit still at this age.

March 2009 Cabin Trip

Well, I am finally updating some past activities into the blog.
The week of St. Patrick's day was Spring Break. Angie and I met at the Cabit with our girls. They had such a good time. We watched movies and ate popcorn every night. The girls were dirty and played outside in the dirt and on the rope swing. We had a campfire 2 times and roasted wienies for hotdogs and marshmallows for smores. Grandpappy and Mama Leslie came by for a day and it was a treat to see them. We all had such a good time. I am looking forward to doing it again soon this summer. I am NOT waiting 15 years like I did before to return to the Fish Camp.
