Sophie at 9 Months

Just a quick update from Sophie's 9 Month appointment this morning. She is 21 pounds and 29 inches long. She is in the 75thish %tile for weight and the 95%tile for height. She is growing up so fast. She also got a flu shot today. Daddy took her while I stayed home from work this morning with Caroline. She has had a virus the last few days but I think she is well enough to go back to school tomorrow.

Caroline Update

I am soooo far behind with my posts. Caroline has been busy. She finally got her big squishy Ariel doll for becoming night-time potty trained. She has been dry in pullups for months, but a couple of weeks ago, she said she didn't want to wear them anymore and so she threw them all away. She has been in panties at night ever since. The doll below was her reward.
She started Dance class last Wednesday. It is a ballet/tap combo class. She had a good time and we go again tomorrow. She loves her shoes.
Her first day of school was 2 weeks ago. So far so good with that.
She loves Sophie and still plays so well with her. Caroline is becoming such a big girl.

Sophie Update

Well, Sophie will be 9 months old tomorrow. I can't believe it. Time goes by so fast and we enjoy this little squirt so much. She is crawling EVERYWHERE. She has also started to pull up and try to stand. She has a way to go with that though. She loves to play with the little learning house we have and also play with the keyboard and bells. She loves music and when you sing or play music, she bounces. She also will try to sing peek a boo if you sing it to her....Caroline is still her favorite person and she loves to follow Caroline around. Oh,and we think that she said Dad-dy for real last night...not just the dada sound. I'll have to let you know on that one later.

All I want for Christmas is........

Sophie has alot of teeth!!! She has about 6 I think and some more probably coming in pretty soon. I can't believe that she is already 8 months old. She is still the sweetest little thing. She has been "swimming" on the floor for a few weeks but this past week she was almost crawling. Sarah told me yesterday that she took a few crawl steps and I got to see her do it this evening. She has to really really want something to try. So, I guess in the next few weeks she will be all over the place. I have really been enjoying this little squirt.

Caroline's Swimming Lessons

Caroline had swimming lessons the last couple of weeks of July....I have just been a little slow posting these pictures. She went for 7 or 8 days for an hour each. It was her very first time in a pool. I can't believe we had never taken her swimming before. I wasn't really sure how she would do...but she did great. She would put her face in the water. She wouldn't dive all of the way under yet. They had a great time jumping on the underwater trampoline.
Here are a few pictures. Of course, she picked the little 2-piece suit that is too small for her to wear on picture day...but you pick your battles. You other parents know how it is. I even bought her a new swimming suit for this and she has 2 others as well!
All in all I will say it was a success and we will enroll her next year as well.

Disney World

Well, we had a wonderful time at Disney World. Caroline had a blast. be prepared for a long post and updates to follow cause I may get tired of typing tonight. We took many many pictues so this is just some of them. I will post more later and maybe a video of Caroline riding Big Thunder Mountain.

Day 1:
One of the very first rides that we went on was the Teacups (of course you have to ride them when you go). Caroline loved it! Chuck can get them spinning so fast that you feel as though you are in a centrifuge. We also discovered that Caroline loves roller coasters. We rode Thunder Mountain about 4 or 5 times. We also rode the Teacups about 5 times. The Mickey Orchestra 3D show featuring Donald Duck was really good.
Day 2 (Tuesday):
We went to Epcot Center in the morning. Caroline was a little cranky so this day didn't go as planned. We had lunch in China. We got pictures of Donald in Mexico. About the only real thing we ended up doing at Epcot was get pictures with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, the Chipmonks and Pluto.
After Epcot we went back to take a nap and then got back up to go to Magic Kingdom again. Caroline was a different child. We went to Cinderella's Castle to meet Cinderella and have dinner in the Castle. It was beautiful. Caroline also go to meet the mice and the Fairy Godmother. I think that this dinner was one of the highlights of her trip. After dinner, we went to meet Belle, Aurora and Cinderella again. There were also more rides to ride...Pooh ride, Peter Pan, etc.
We also caught the light parade this night.
Day 3 :
This day we had breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald at "Chef Mickey's" in our Hotel, the Contemporary. It was an early breakfast at 7:00 AM but that was the only time available.
After that we went to Animal Kingdom. We enjoyed the Safari and much to my surprise, Caroline sat through an entire 40 minute Nemo show and loved it.
Again, we took a nap in the afternoon and then went back to Magic Kingdom that night.
Day 4:
This day we went to Holloywood Studios in the morning after Breakfast. Chuck got to meet Handy Manny which was on his list of things to do. We also caught another 3D show and had lunch.
After naptime, we went back to Magic Kingdom for more rides (Thunder Mountain again) and dinner with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eiore.
Nighttime was definitely better for Caroline's disposition and we had a great time.
Day 5 (July 4th):
This day we decided to spend the entire day at Magic Kingdom again. We also stayed up late again and watched the fireworks. They were beautiful and the castle was lit up with Patriotic emblems.
Well, I will try to update more when I get a chance, but at least this is a synopsis of what occured.

Caroline Got Barfed On

All of Sophie's care takers have been thrown up on over the last few months. Caroline has escaped unscathed until yesterday. She was sitting by me on the big chair while I fed Sophie and then......up it all came all over Caroline. Caroline didn't really know what to do and froze.
I am posting a picture of Sophie with Elmo.....he HAS been barfed on before. Thank you Caroline for sharing Elmo with Sophie sometimes.
