Comal County Fair 2010

We went to the Comal County Fair today. It is one of the largest County Fairs in Texas. We got to pick up baby Chicks, ride rides, eat hand-dipped corn dogs (my favorite) and have lots of fun. Here are some pictures of our adventure. Cudos to Caroline for riding the Cliff-hanger ride....it is actually pretty crazy for a kid her age. Oh, and Grandma Bobbie got to come which is always fun.

Master Bath Remodel

We completed the Bathroom remodel in May but I never posted pictures. Here are some pictures of the shower and tub remodel. There is a before picture down at the bottom. I also stained the cabinetry and got new light fixtures, but I haven't taken pictures of those....or I can't find them at least. I will post when I take pictures.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day the past 3 years we have gone and had lunch at one of my favorite restaurants. It is called La Trattoria Lissina and it is the closest we have found to actually being in Italy. It is a vineyard with a beautiful restaurant....best Lasagna I have ever had. We always have Gelato of course.

Caroline's 6th Birthday

We had Caroline's 6th birthday party a few weeks ago. We held it in the backyard. We decorated Tea Party hats, the kids played, we had pizza and of course cakes...well mini-cakes. Everyone got their own little birthday cake. There were about 12 little girls there and some of their little brothers.

Busy Yesterday and Projects

We had so much to do yesterday. 2 Birthday parties. One was for Maddie and then we went to the zoo at night for Lucy's birthday. The zoo at night was amazing...perfect weather....no people. It was fun.
I made the cake for Maddie's party and Lucy's teddybear is below....whew...I'm tired.

Spring Break 2010 Cabin Trip

The girls and I wen to the Cabin a couple of weeks ago for some fun with the cousins and Grandparents. Dad calls it his "Fish Camp" although he doesn't fish. This cabin in deep East Texas has been in our family somehow since I was born. It is great to have my kids be able to enjoy the same experiences that I had growing up.
My sister, Angie and her girls, Lori and her girls (and Ryan) and my parents were there too.
The girls played on the rope swing (always a highlight), got REALLY dirty, roasted marshmallows, rode bikes, etc. We had a great time. Sophie enjoyed baby Elise. Elise was such a sport for allowing a 2 year old to change her diaper. Caroline lost her front tooth while we were there and also loved that I let her sleep on the top bunk.
My parents always make the cabin trips such fun. They help take care of everything.....so much so that my Mom is always moving and I have no pictures of her.
